What do you get when you have 13 dahlia people meet at the "not yet planted" trial garden? We had it planted in little over an hour. I pulled my share and did four of the 35 entries. On the negative side, it was raining and a brisk shower caused some to seek shelter. Alfalfa meal in every hole. Stakes pounded in. Plants grown in large pots looked great in the ground.
This was normal spring weather and we had over half an inch of rain for the day and our somewhat dry garden is now watered.
