Margaret and I planted the 100 foot double row of sunflowers yesterday . She saves the seeds from year to year of the ones she likes. The row keeps people from the road from seeing the dahlia blooms and that is good as we do not have visitors and do not sell cut flowers. I have not said anything about our new tractor but it sure makes it easy to plant a 100 foot row of anything. Power steering, hydrostatic transmission, seat belt, roll bar and new tiller are very nice. However, it needs a 5 1/2 foot spacing between dahlia rows so that I can use the tiller to weed. I planted 4 rows with 5 foot spacing and will have to do some weeding with our battery operated small tiller.
