My dig is done. I even dug up the failed grow bag tubers and salvaged whatever I could out of those, although most will need to be stored as pot tubers or "mothers and sons" (which is what I am calling the new practice Mr. Kennedy recommended of keeping a shrimpy tuber attached to a not-yet-rotten mother). If I had a website I would have to make a whole section of runts, iffys, and undesirables. The hoarder in me can't bear to compost anything. They will probably die, but of natural causes, not of murder.
I grew 1-2 plants of a lot of different WL and here's how each did for me on tubers. With a heavy pinch of salt for small sample size.
Good tuber production: Felida Mermaid, Sandia Bertha, Sandia Gold, Sandia Nocturne (cute and round), Hollyhill Serenity, Hollyhill Letitia, Carolyn Wagner, WD Millie, Mary's First
Average tuber production: Daisy Adair, Sandia Bliss, Sandia Showboat, Maks Meredith, Carolina Wagemans, Sandia Isa, Hapet Neon Sea, Red Velvet, Canoz Anne, Ruthie G, Janice, Hollyhill Lilibet, Wildwood Marie, Kari Blue
Lower than average production: Hollyhill Pandora, Ken's Rarity, Maks Betty Lyn, Maks Georgia, Hollyhill Leda, Chimacum Cathleen, Montreuil (also, pretty much a border dahlia), Sandia Rose, Kelgai Ann
Edited to add - a "didn't even try to tuber" category: Figurine
