JessieC Here are Ginger Snap and Ferncliff Copper.

Ginger Snap was one of the first dahlias I grew (many moons ago).
And I don’t even think I saved the tubers back then! Might have to give it another try.

Krista Not really, I think the heat is making them all wonky.

blown_dry What's weird is last year I bought one from Old House and the plant was super spindly and the blooms were ridiculously small and just a sad state of affairs. I'm really happy for the turnaround.

edewitt Thanks for sharing these! I got HHCJ from Old House last year. I've been waiting to see if it is one of the survivors in my front bed. Some very cool varieties.

I haven’t grown Darcy - that does seem pretty similar. One thing I like about the SB Oro colors is that there’s a peachy tone deep in the petals that make it look like it’s glowing from the inside. It’s difficult to photograph though…

My Westerton Ella Grace always had green centers. I did not plant it this year.

The sungate one i really like the edging on the flower. The others I have grown. weston ella always gave me green centers, as does Verrone's Sandrea J. maybe the most pedals on a dahlia? lol takes like a week to fully open so I was happy the voles ate the tubers this year lol.

The only unfortunate thing is the the red flecks make it look kind of “dirty” in a bouquet with other flowers. I think of it as a “personal” dahlia. One for me to just enjoy looking at all on its own. I think it would pair well with deep reds though.

I purchased Westerton Ella Grace this year and instantly regretted it after looking more closely at the supplier’s photos - all green centers. It hasn’t bloomed yet for me so I’m interested to find out what I end up with.

I’m really liking the form and color on Tracy Diane (imported from HoH). Lots of blooms as well.

Another vote for River's Dark Chocolate. Checks all the boxes so far. Tall vigorous plants, long stems, good form ... Hopefully it's making tubers.
