20th Ave Softer Peach - BB FD Pink - really nice form and color. The plant isn't super tall but looks like it will have a lot of blooms with ample stem length. I really like this one and look forward to trialing it as a commercial cut in 2026.

SteveM I find a lot of the 20th Ave varieties to be shorter bushy plants. But they still usually have long enough stems for arranging. Not super long, but just enough.

Until this year the only 20 Ave variety I'd grown was 20th Ave & Baker Rd which grows 5'+ for me. I guess I thought all of his would be tall.🙂

Juliarugula Me too. Well I have Softer Peach and Memory is new to me this year. They are short, bushy, and the first blooms have very very chunky stems, if that makes sense.

Bloomquist Simple has coloring that I find difficult to capture. I took about 10 pictures all times of day today while they were on the plant and none were true. This is the closest. It has a purple sheen and golden tips and the dahlia shimmer. These are the first (imperfect) blooms of the season. I have a couple Bloomquist Simple seedlings in colored bud stage and I can't wait to see if they inherited any of the traits I love. 😊

SteveM oh! You’re right! I’m growing Baker Road for the first time this year and it hadn’t occurred to me that it’s a taller one.

Last year at the trial garden Tranquility was about 5 feet also, but so far in my garden it’s stayed well under 4.

I finally have a mostly full bloom of Ibara Hime, the "Thistle" lookalike I ordered from abroad. I'm so excited!

bloomhjelm can you tell me more about "ordering from abroad"? I've never come across an out of the country company that will ship to the USA, except for Ferncliff Gardens.

Bessie The only company I've found in Europe that ships to US with phytocertification is Dalijas.lv. But they do take a long time to ship and don't take/fill orders until spring.

KA's Cinder Rose - I like the unusual color (which I don't know if I captured it in the photo). First bloom is about 3.5" and held on a strong stem.

KA's Cinder Rose. Not my favorite color but we no longer sell cut flowers. I like colors like this one.

Hollyhill Honeygold showed it's beautiful face today and I had a hard time letting it go to a florist delivery! I think it is going to be used in a bridal bouquet though, and any bride would be lucky to have it.

It's new to me this year and I'm not wowed but I will give it time. The first 2 blooms have been clock faced. It seems like a pretty vigorous grower and is loaded with buds so I guess I'll get a lot more opportunities to critique it.

Update on KA's Cinder Rose
In the collage image below, the top photo was taken on July 25th, and the other two images were taken on August 7th. I like the first blooms on the plant taken in July best. As the blooms age, they fade out to a very pastel gold color.
