Definite shift in the weather today. Fall has arrived. Wind has a bit of a nip to it. We didn't get much sun or warmth in my part of Alaska this year but the past couple of weeks have been both. Lovely but not enough time for any of the plants - native or non-native (like my dahlias) to catch up. With first frost about 4 or 5 weeks away (if I'm lucky), I'll be storing most everything in their pots this year. Plus side, it'll be really easy to get things going in the Spring. I'm also putting up two 25 x 10 x 7 and one 12 x 7 x 7 hoop houses next year. That will help alot since we seem to be in a cycle of cold, wet summers (which, my mom reminded me, is how they were when I was a little Erika.)
