That’s fun to hear about the tuber auction!
I was anticipating my Mayberry delivery yesterday and I’ll admit I was hovering around the front door keeping an eye out for the postman. When I went outside to check, I had three neatly stacked boxes! Garden Bee and Delightful Dahlias also arrived 🤗
Of course I opened them all up, and they all look very good…except for Garden Bee. Those ones are fantastically beautiful clumps with sprouts, carefully packed with a generous amount of fine soil and notes warning me to unpack with care. She included an extra Rose Toscano with my order, which was especially generous. For some reason, I didn’t order very many from Paula this year. Her selection was somewhat limited, and I was trying my hand at tuber storage myself. Last year, she also gave me Rose T as a bonus, and I loved that one so much. I’ve been hovering over the small and mangled looking Rose T tubers that I tended over the winter. Now that I see what fine condition hers are in, I see I have some work to do! I know the tuber doesn’t need to be beautiful to do its job, but I do appreciate such care and expertise. ![](https://forum.dahliaaddict.com/assets/files/2023-04-13/1681383496-37598-4881f224-31c7-4198-957a-b6994cfd4707.jpg)
