I was late to the Cowlitz opening. Then I didn't meet the order minimum, but I couldn't add to the count in my order because limit of 1. By the time I added stuff and checked out again, the stuff I really wanted was sold out. C'est la vie!

I had tubers in my cart and I was filling out the information, but removed everything when I saw the soonest I could get my order was end of April.

blown_dry had my top 3 choices in hand, but had a hiccup with my auto fill and the exact same thing happened. By the time I had reached the minimum again they were all gone. Oh well 🤷♀

I was so close to getting Salish Twilight Girl but just barely missed it at Cowlitz River. I also realized she'd listed Rolf on there and I hastily added it before I checked out and on my invoice I see it was set for $0. 🙁 I'll wait a bit before I email her asking what the actual cost is so I can pay her for it. That might be the nicest "uniform" variegated flower out there.

edewitt Rolf is stunning! I don't gravitate to variegated blooms generally, but this one is outstanding.

My experience was similar. I decided on the 2 roots I wanted most, one of which was Salish Twilight Girl. I knew I had to have a $25 minimum . Then I thought "what if one of these isn't available when I check out and I don't have $25 worth?", so I added a third and placed the order at exactly 5:00 pm EST. It went! Then I got a message: The second one I ordered was gone but STG and my "extra" were still in the cart. Deleted the unavailable one and filled out all the shipping information again. Hit order. Sorry STG unavailable - at which point I shut down my browser. I don't understand when I was paying by PayPal and they greet me with a message that "we recognize you on this browser and there's no need to sign in", why I had to fill in all my mailing information. Pay Pal already has all that and if I hadn't had to type it all in TWICE I might have gotten at least one of the roots. There has to be a better way!

Inspired by al the wyn’s eeek reminiscing I managed to snag 3 delightful weirdos - shaggy dog /kung foo kitty /and Hapet electra but wooo that was intense. Things kept selling out and disappearing from my cart as I was trying to check out. Very nerve wracking!

Darce Kung Fu Kitty looks pretty cool. I'm wondering if it's an offspring of Vista Cody/Vista Pet or Horsefeathers? The barbed petals add a pretty dang unique flare to the blooms. I got Hapet Electra as well as I'm a big fan of variegated blooms (if you couldn't tell). I'm also really looking forward to the Hollyhill Tigerstripe Ted was offering.

I was wondering how the minimum order plus tuber limits would play out. I kept dropping under $25 as items sold out and gave up after I lost Hapet Cupid. I will keep checking for restocks. Teresa is so nice, she was very helpful last year when I forgot to add early shipping. Also, I very much relate to her bio where she says her mom told her “You’ve gone completely overboard”. My mom is completely supportive and we will be traveling to the National Show together but I’m pretty sure she feels the same hahaha.

I had tried for HH wicked witch but that was one of my disappearing acts from my shopping cart - I did manage to get HH dragon fire tho and I am very excited! I love the variegated ones too.
I know …kung foo kitty’s barbs look so intriguing- I have never grown a dahlia with that petal shape
I am never quick enough to get the newest HH intros but one day I will manage to get tiger stripe and wicked witch if it’s not new on the market at least it will be new to me lol

Rolf looks awesome!

I grew a couple plants of Kung Fu Kitty last year. She was fun! The blooms aren’t very deep, but the barbs are pretty neat, she’s a lovely color, and vase life was pretty decent.

Oh that’s great to hear- i think this is going to be a happy unplanned purchase- I was so discombobulated at the mad dash of the cowlitz sale I just grabbed it without really knowing what it looked like 😂

At Cowlitz, I really wanted two, made the huge mistake of adding 4 and then trying to check out. Should have just stuck with my two!! I kept having to take one out at a time until I was down to 1 and that wouldn’t have met the $25.

Oh goodness, Cowlitz really threw me for a loop today; the order minimum along with the tuber limits. I bumbled through 3 orders, but after each submission which was complete with a confirmation ID, realized it didn't comply with the guidelines and went back to try again. I'm afraid they will all be canceled completely. That was a tough one!

I have not seen anything anywhere about Cowlitz River opening today! That means I ahve missed both Hollyhill and Cowlitz?! I thought Teresa would have sent me info when it opened as we are well acquainted. I could cry.

calico20hill I almost wish that I was in your boat instead of my own! I'm sorry that you didn't receive a shop opening notice though, I would also be disappointed.

calico20hill I had to e-mail Ted to get the Hollyhill list. For some reason, I can't get into waterlilies; but I have always wanted to try Code Red so I grabbed a few of those. I loooove. Cornel; but am looking for another productive red as everyone grows Cornel and tubers are a bit tough to sell in mass.

Krista I checked my email and there is nothing there from her. Can't think how else she might have tried to communicate. Did you all get notices. I don't even see anything on the net about it. Its got to have been a mistake somehow.

As far as I know all notice was through her mailing list. I did get an additional email to urge me not to publicize it on DA in any way until tomorrow. I may have done badly just by mentioning shopping on this forum, not sure. I managed to miss Hollyhill somehow. Were there any cool new intros?
On the up side, I think Cowlitz will be restocking throughout the next few months. I will keep a lookout.
