Lobaughs has shipped but they haven't arrived here yet. And it is literally less then 2 hours north of me. Who knows what route they are going....

My orders are starting to come in, too. I got my Connell’s box and my BJ’s box today.

I’ve never ordered from BJs before, but Holy mackerel did Jim Lamson send huge beautiful tubers! I know tiny ugly tubers will produce the same big beautiful plants as large beautiful tubers, but sometimes you still just have to admire the beauty of a gorgeous tuber. Look at these things!

This years orders... so many were tiny and were complete duds that never grew or worse, some even rotted. I am so discouraged; I am almost cured of online ordering due to the trend of "opening days" which I loathe. Sigh... Oh well; Connells and Swan Island's tubers are still reliable. Bless the Connells for making them also affordable.

One delightful surprise I’m discover with the arrival of deliveries now are the bonus, free tubers! I guess I’ve never ordered enough in past years to receive these and they add sheer joy! I don’t have any room for them, but that’s beside the point 😅 I’d never even heard of River’s Amelia Bedelia but the character and books were a part of my childhood! And Lobaugh’s sent Maks Volcano and it looks incredible.

Krista Unfortunately I didn't get a bonus tuber from them for this year but I only ordered about 6 tubers from Lobaugh's when I realized I didn't have a whole lot of orange in the garden.

All I wanted was Mary P from Dahlia Cult and they sold out because my address kept changing to say it was in Texas before I could put the dumb order in. I'm so annoyed.

edewitt Ah I was hoping she’d offer “Surprise” but when she didn’t, I half heartedly put Alauna Millipiques in my cart before removing and walking away - I feel pretty proud of myself for abstaining from that sale this morning. Sorry to hear your checkout was complicated, it’s truly defeating when you manage to get the desired varieties actually into your cart but the checkout is too clunky to successfully take ‘em home! 😩

Krista I didn't think that was inconsiderate or anything. I was just noting you got yourself quite a bonus as far as bonus tubers go, so no worries there. I'm looking forward to seeing how our blooms match up later in the year.

edewitt Oh I’m so relieved - and yesyes I’ll really look forward to comparisons and taking notes this summer! I’ve got lots to learn about getting dahlias to bloom to their greatest potential so it’ll be really helpful having yours to measure up to!
