I have noticed in this situation a lot of vendors have called the dahlia that was incorrect the NOT… - so the NOT Annette C would be for sale
then they have a bit of an explanation in the description like you do - ie they received it mislabelled -they think it might be X- however it’s a great dahlia etc no matter the name
I am thrilled to bits to get it - I mean it’s gorgeous !

Me too, Eric. I’m in the same boat. There were some real temptresses, but I’ve reached the point of no more impulse buys for the year.

CiCiVacation I think it was helpful to have the shipping charge be the last item. A lot of people put it first in the catalog and at that point, I technically am not sure I am placing an order.

Just so interested folks that HAVEN'T reached your tuber limit of the year (chortle, chuckle), I will be updating my store again in the next two weeks with a gardening buddy's extras. There will be some really sweet varieties available... I'll be emailing 2023 buyers first, then I'll let folks know in this thread a few hours later. Hey, can you blame a lass for looking out for my bestie buyers? That, and it means less boxes for me to ship if I treat my buyers right and they buy them all up.

I’m on the hunt for Narrows Lori, which I think you had, but don’t anymore, or not enough to list? Do you have one tuber to part with for sale or trade? This one seems to be elusive! Thank you!

I missed the Coseytown opening yesterday but was still able to pick up C. Kay and C. Bounty today. Those, and the pure white (C. Early Girl) were the ones I most wanted to try. It looks like LeeAnn had another great sale, congratulations!🙂

I keep adding that one to my cart and then deciding not to checkout because it’s hard to bring myself to pay for shipping one tuber…

And also I should exercise self control at this point in the purchasing season or something like that.

edewitt I can identify, I’m out of room and budget, but I’m also considering making an exception for Hollyhill Serenity. I’m trying to stick to “only if it appears in my path” but I may end up shimmying into its path first.

Eric, it is unfortunate that you have so little self-control. I, on the other hand, did not buy a single tuber from Christen's Flowers. Unfortunately, my self-control can only be attributed to the fact I didn't see your post before they sold out of Hollyhill Serenity. 🙂

found 6 that jumped in a cart but I bailed before checking out! I really don’t need any more,
but I sure want them all!

She also carries a whole lotta heirloom dahlias that I wish I had room for. They may not be the prettiest ones but I like the idea of continuing varieties that have been around as far back as the late 1800s.

I saw that she had made a post in a Facebook group and was curious, looked at the site and saw HH Serenity and Skipley Spot, and quickly ordered them. HH Serenity was gone very shortly after that. 🙁

Yea that is impressive. I have not seen HH Bashful around much / offered, maybe next year I will be able to find it. HH Serenity makes good tubers for me usually 6 per plant and I rarely lose them overwinter. My favorite WL along with Maks Meredith from Al Kaas

NCDahlia I sold only one HH Bashful tuber and that was in error. Last several years we grew lots of it and it did not sell well. Now that people want it we grew very little of it. It is an excellent cutflower in the modern colors and has tight center.

HiDahlia I was so thrilled to see this. I’ve had an app monitoring her site for the last couple of weeks and was able to snag AC’s Tweedly Dee, Tweedly Dum, and Twisp. I couldn’t resist the Alice in Wonderland references. Did you snag any from her Breeders Corner?
