Teddahlia I believe that the sweet spot for most cut flower is 4 inches. Any comments?
4 inches does seem the ideal size. However, a 4" dahlia will only be a 3" dahlia after a few flushes (in most cases). That means I need to plant 5-6" size dahlias to get 4" size dahlias at mid-season. I don't grow many Min dahlias because they are almost Pom size at peak season. There is nothing wrong with small dahlias except I get paid less per bloom. A small Min dahlia takes just as long to cut/bundle as a BB size dahlia but I get paid (much) less per stem.
