Krista Did anyone else roll through Chelan’s release “C” today?

Yes - I picked up a few. I spaced out and didn’t even notice Hollyhill BP until my second review of the offerings - sold out by then. I got two HH PDX Sunset, Lakeview Storm, and Lakeview Lady. I didn’t notice until after I’d checked out that Lakeview Lady was $30 - I probably would have waited a few years at that price but 🤷‍♀️. Hope it’s a good one!!

It’s a good thing shopping season is about done!

Juliarugula Ohh those Lakeview’s are going to be gorgeous! Hopefully Lakeview Lady makes you lots of tubers so you can sell them to all of us in the fall and recoup some costs. 😅 I spaced HH BP too — just went back to check her out, yeowzah!

Juliarugula I got Lakeview Lady as well. I’m excited. 🥳 Also got HH BP which was super thrilling. I’ve wanted that for years. Lakeview Premier, FC Black Cherry and a few 20th Aves. I actually rather like the even playing field of the way she opens. Though it does lead to spur of the moment purchases. 😂

Thank you or "darn you" to this forum for making me add AC Jeremy to my cart. I also bought Dzivite for the bicolor/tricolor/variegated patch. Maybe I should pop it in next to Alpen Parfait.

I also appreciated that Cowlitz held back inventory for the second sale today. Initially I was confused if it was password-protected or not because I did need a password to enter at 12, although the email said I would not. But my instinct always says "throw everything at it" so I tried the password anyway.

I missed all the Cowlitz Dahlias I had on my want list. No laciniated or giant blooms allowed in my breeding patch. Oh well.

Amulet was hybridized by Kevin Larkin of Corralitos Gardens, since retired. They also hybridized Blown Dry.

blown_dry Oh darn that’s right! Thanks for the correction, I’ve also been hunting down the CG varieties as well and got confused in the shopping craze this weekend! 🫠

I’m surprised at some of the varieties still left at the Cowlitz sale! I thought surely AC R&R would sell out fast, but it’s still there. A bunch of the new Allen’s also. I guess a lot of them lean towards yellow (or are yellow).

Allen provides tubers to Teresa and he knows how to grow lots of them. His new intros looked especially good this year.

The Midwest Trial Garden had quite a few of his intros this year. Cascadia and Sorbet were two of my favorite blooms in the garden. I was really happy to be able to order them!

Teddahlia I'm curious to know what this means! Maybe better for a different thread. Whats the tick for growing lots of them? I thought it was mostly genetics.

I Also couldn't get in, got busy at something else then when I tried again all the ones I wanted were gone. Oh well. I will have plenty of fahlias to grow this year, but I do like to add some new "Pollen Sources" each year...And of course I enjoy having different ones to pick and enjoy. I m hoping I can get some nice ones at the Portland Dahlia Show tuber sales...though not sure I will get to any with husband's surgery schedule...

Too late for this one, but next time (if you were copying/pasting) be mindful of catching stray “space” characters with the password. I had trouble signing in at first, and it was because I accidentally copied and pasted the space in front of the sent password. (At least I think that was the problem)

Teresa is a genius, she slowed her sale down with the password. When I refreshed with the links I was still asked for a password, but the tab for her store from the email required no password. She was able to slow down the grab and goers. I was able to buy a couple and a couple fell out of my cart. The only downside I experienced is after removing tubers lost tubers from my cart, I fell in a different shipping range, but I didn't dare go back and change it.

I'm happy.

Super thankful I actually got everything I wanted from Birch Bay (confirmed via email). Irish Erin, Sandia Ruthie, Sandia Lillian, Sandia Bliss and SB's Star. Gonna take that last one to our WMDS show head table I hope. 😊
