I dry the tubers and place them into plastic sandwich bags with no storage medium.  One t-shirt bag may have over 30 tubers(or more and often lots less)  in sandwich bags  in it. For iffy keepers, I do "shake and bake" with cinnamon. Of course lots of shake and no bake.  I have been storing them this way for about 15 years now.  I tried wrapping in plastic wrap but it is too time consuming on both ends: wrapping takes time and unwrapping takes even more time. If I knew I would still be doing this 15 years later, I might have chosen the shoe boxes and made those fancy racks to hold them. "Why do you do it this way?", the inquiring person asked.  He answered:  " It works and once you do something that works, you tend to keep on doing it."
