I had guests tour the field last summer and as we walk around I usually pick the blooms they admire and send them home with the bunch.
I picked Tigress as we passed and they asked me what my favorite bloom was in the field.
First of all, what a terrible question to ask a grower! But, I quickly answer by shoving Tigresses bloom in their face. That day, this one was my favorite.
I find myself all the time saying to my spouse 'it's one of my favorites' and then immediately feeling chagrined because the number of my 'favorites' makes that a little meaningless.
Hollyhill Pink Tigress is a nice seed parent that passes on its Pam Howden genes and it's variegation genes too. Hollyhill Tiger Rose is a seedling.
Do those two sport to the solid color(s) easily? What is the most stable variegated variety you've ever grown?
Hollyhill Spreckles never, ever sports. If you have a sport of it I will trade something nice.
Pink Tigress sports at least 2 ways: (1) Mostly yellow with faint red spots and such. (2) Red with a yellow eye zone, called HH RPT.
HH Tiger Rose sports to (1)solid red (2) yellow with red spots and is nearly identical to Hollyhill Tigress.
HH Bewitched sports to(1) solid deep maroon(2) lavender background with maroon spots.
HH Funhouse sports to solid red and we are currently only growing the solid red as it is a nicer flower.
HH Dragonfire sports to a putrid color of red and loses it good form. I cull them.
HH Warlock sports to solid red and we call it Red Warlock. The red sport is fantastic flower for red bouquets or arrangements.
Jennie, please don't go extinct!

Sure wish I could get her back! I lost her about 3 years ago and haven't found a replacement.
Would love to buy a replacement (or trade) if anyone here has an extra!

2011 picture. I used to use a tripod and it increased the clarity and the depth of color. Too lazy to put my cell phone on a tripod but maybe I should do it.
