We grew a Hollyhill PDX Sunset in a pot with HH Regal. They do not pair well in a pot as PDX is a giant horse. DX is one of the easiest large dahlias to grow and makes good tubers.
Dahlia Seedling Pictures - 2023
Teddahlia First year seedling: Cell phone picture and it deserves a real camera to show all those spots and dots.
Really gorgeous - love this one!

Margaret used this pink cactus second year seedling in her Hogarth curve entry at the National show. It is a prolific bloomer and has excellent flowers with no disbudding and even better if you disbud.
Teddahlia that is such a perfect arrangement! I think out of all of Margaret’s arrangements you’ve posted this might be my favorite - it’s so delicate and balanced.
We liked it a lot and the flower really fit the design.
Cute little miniature semi cactus. Fades but is wonderful if shaded.
This one is kinda pretty.
Oops, posted twice. Is there anyway for me to delete a post?
I took this picture with my cell phone yesterday. This is seedling 20-150, a 6th generation seedling of our breeding. I hope Margaret will name it as it is really pretty and it is a bit more open during the day as this was taken in the very early evening. Good tuber maker and keeper too.

I hope I will be able to get any of your new ones this year. Last year was very difficult but I got a few from trades with others here. The trade in rooted cuttings has helped. But I would love to be able to buy tubers like I used to.

This new seedling received top plant marks (from my own devised standards) this weekend. Iron like stems but still slender. Very firm blossom attachment (zero wobble when shaken), blooms above plant canopy without competition from sucker buds, multiple blooms on the plant at the same time. Now I have to wait to see how the tubers are.
Finally, a mini white with great stems and attachment!
A huge want was given--- a collarette with long, strong stems and a firm blossom attachment. There are so many weak collarettes out there that don't hold up well in field situations.
And the "funest" seedling in the field this year. Not a perfect plant but I'll keep it for my private gardens around the house.
