calico20hill I just love camellias for their early early luscious blooms and those beautiful shiny, deep green leaves! Mid-pink blooms will be so welcome in the dark days of early spring. I Googled April Love camellias and it looks like they may have a balayage effect, lighter to darker pink blooms sometimes; how pretty! My partner isn't a big fan of camellias either, but if we can end up with property large enough one day, I think I'll be able to tuck a few away in some corners for my own personal enjoyment. He grew up here in the PNW so everything that thrives here is yesterday's news to him. I grew up in the midwest though so it's all still new and special to me! New as of 23+ years ago that is.
