Bill and Delores Schwinck were my parents. They have both passed. I saw a photo today which led me to responding.
Mom did most of the naming. Many of the Normandy flowers are named for family members. Some of their earlier flowers did not have the Normandy prefix. One named Jessica comes to mind. Lucy was significant to them and named for my Grandmother - Bill's mother. Your top photo #1 is closest to my recollection.
No one in the family is in the hobby or business any longer. My folks became involved during the 1980's. Their interest was inspired by a man named Glyndon H Eddy during the late 1960's in the SeaTac airport area. We moved frequently for several years. Retirement, and their second home in Normandy Park finally provided them with the opportunity, and all the joy and notoriety it brought them. Dad was extremely detail oriented, and though he never mentioned it, one of this country's original computer geniuses. We come from northeast Nebraska, with farming, ranching and produce backgrounds.
Thanks to all who admire their work and remember them fondly.
