edewitt Will the real Kidd's Climax please stand up? I firmly believe that an international wholesaler marketed one for the other in the last 5 years. (Surprising, no? 🙄)
A local farmer bought in Strawberry Ice pot tubers. I had Kidd's Climax growing in my field purchased from another American dahlia grower. They were the same plant. Same leaf, stems, and blooms. Who had who? I don't know. I just know they were the same.
It's going to be one of those things that continue to permeate the market. We just believe what is sold to us until proven otherwise. I'd like to have a grower who has been familiar and growing Kidd's Climax for YEARS share images of the bloom (throughout the season) stem, plant, and leaves so proper identification can happen.
