Speaking of the very good Zenport zs104 bonsai scissors, I am currently using a pair of 15 year old (just a guess as they could be older)Japanese Kengju bonsai scissors to divide the tubers. Zenport, copied the Kengju scissors so faithfully that they look 98% the same. That included the flexible plastic handles, one in red and one in white. Zenport scissors are made in Taiwan. The Kengju scissors were made of a better quality steel. If I were an expert at straightening and sharpening, my Kenju scissors would be better than a new set of the Zenport zs 104 scissors. As it is, the Kengju scissors are about 95% as good as a new Zenport pair. They will remain that good for a few more years or more. Remember, the Kengju factory was demolished by the big tsunami and never re-opened.
