My current favorite from the seedling patch. One from last yr that never bloomed so I planted the tubers this yr. Rather glad I gave it a second chance after all. I’m still new at this so my “keepers” will most likely change as I get better at judging them but it’s a fun thing for the children n I ( my 6 yr old especially has taken a real interest) I am not on social media for various reasons while I have young children so I really appreciate all the wisdom shared on here n have learned tons by just reading. I catch the dahlia talks when I can n greatly enjoy them.
Seed parent is either Miss Amara or Alpen Sundown but my records weren’t very great last yr so I’m not 100 percent which one. I’m leaning towards Alpen Sundown as that one gave several last yr with a darker color on the reverse and for me gave a lot of “almost” good ones. Where the coloring/ color combination was absolutely gorgeous but then not good centers or weak stems. Have no idea on the pollen parent as the bees did that work.
