Today is actually feels like there might be hope of a springtime. No snow falling today, temps in the low 40's,old snow melting away. And it is 5 PM and still daylight. I spent the afternoon tidying up my greenhouse, totalling up the tubers I have potted, checking pots of sowed seeds for germination. Those wonderful sweet peas got planted into big pots to germinate and my new jute trellises came in yesterdays package. I Started about 100 sweet peas but that is only 10 each of 10 varieties. How can you plant fewer then 10 seeds of a new variety?!
Speaking of seeds, So far I have only started dahlia seeds that were kind of casually interesting. THe most vigorous ones to germinate are a package of HH Black Beauty Seeds collected from a plant surrounded by my Salish hybrids,. Those should be fun to watch!
