It seems like we would get ours before Wisconsin....If it were a normal spring? I did just send off an inquiry to them. I should get Triple Wren today and that makes River's the last of my orders.

Eugene Kenyon says that my order is on the desk to be packed today, but they never got my 2nd order. Darn spotty internet! MOstly it works and it works much better then when we moved here but every so often it seems to forget those of us in our neighborhood.

calico20hill I doubt my tuber request list from Rivers was as sophisticated as yours but if you want to share what was in your second order I’d be happy to try sending you unrooted cuttings if I’ve got ‘em! 😅

One of my faves this year was someone who gave a second life to gift wrapping paper. It's the first time I've seen someone come up with a good use for it.

OH Krista, that is so nice of you! I did get through to Rosie and somehow my 2nd order placed in January did not get out of our patchy internet here. Rosie says she will see what is left when she finishes packing orders . The ones I was most excited to get wereRiver's Angie, River's Cherry Bomb, River's Dark Chocolate, RIver's Rosie, RIver's Tangy Tart, and River's Uncle Ted. Last season my garden leaned heavily toward purples. I was really excited about all the NOT PURPLE blooms, LOL.

calico20hill Of all of these I do only have two River's Dark Chocolate, both at least 10" tall, I'd be happy to send you a cutting? Rooted (in a week or two) or unrooted, your call! It'll be an experiment as I've never shipped cuttings but I'm happy to try (both options even!) - I've got two nice plants to experiment with!

calico20hill I just potted up my River's Rosie, and I would love to swap you a River's Rosie cutting for a CV Pataha cutting if you would like. It will be a week or two until I can wiggle off the sprout.

Krista, a cutting would be wonderful! I'm pretty sure there wont 'be any of this one left when she finishes packing orders! I would be quite happy with an unrooted cutting and it doesn't need to be very big. Is there anything else you would like to trade for that cutting? (I ask because I bet your bed is packed full if you are like me!) Anyhow I would return the favor any way that you would like.

My Sellwood Glory is on its way from Del's! Hopefully I'll be back in town to unbox it as soon as it arrives because I've had an order where it did not fare very well during shipping and rotted very quickly. That has got to be one of the most finicky tubers I've ever dealt with. The really nice purples seem to be like that for some reason.

edewitt I got Sellwood Glory from a different grower and the tuber looks amazing! I have it potted up to start and plan on taking a few stem cuttings as backup. If yours ends up going kaput, let me know. With luck I'll be able to help.
