Anybody recognize this one? It’s very cute and a pretty color. Might it be Camano Zoe? (It’s a miniature for sure)
ID help?
That’s a really sweet bloom, I’m not sure who it is but I can share my Camano Zoe from last year as comparison - hope someone can help ID your pretty bloom!
Zoe has a better center and the florets do not have the faint line in them. My opinion not Zoe.
Krista Thanks for the photo comparison!
Teddahlia Yes, you’re definitely right about all those points now that I compare Krista’s photo.
I may have to email the seller, but this was a bonus tuber, so I don’t want to seem like I’m complaining. Just curious as to what it is. The only thing in her online presence I see that’s close is Odyssey, but it’s pretty different from my own Odyssey which is a much purplier pink, and smaller.
My Camano Zoe hasn’t bloomed yet this season. Last year, it varied quite a bit, but it looked a lot like yours. I’ll try to find some photos. The center was crap until September, as I recall. I did get a few Odyssey blooms this year, and they were much more pink/ lavender. It’s been so hot that most blooms have been kind of ugly, so I haven’t taken too many photos this year.
Whatever you’ve got, it’s beautiful! I loved CZ, especially when the centers behaved. It has a marshmallow puffiness that I really like.

Ok here are some pics. The one in the vase is from October. The others are August. I am in Virginia, 7B. I liked CZ a lot and hope so see it again this year!
In the first pic, the three closest to the big purple one are all CZ. The others are HH Miss White and Small World.
The show person in me dislikes green centers and your Camano Zoe has them. When fully mature they generally go away. I am prejudiced against CZ as when judging years ago, the entire judging team and the clerk ganged up on me to select CZ over my selection of a Barbarry Gem flower. I am not one to give up when I think I am right but they were unwavering in their selection of CZ. Of course, it went on to win an even higher award and they enjoyed saying "we told you so!"
Well, I went ahead and emailed the seller to inquire about it, so maybe we’ll find out?
Teddahlia Well last season, I had very few without the green center, I’m afraid. This year’s batch probably won’t bloom for a few more weeks, so maybe they’ll be better. I know I’ve asked before, but when you say “fully mature,” you mean that a bloom that didn’t open prematurely due to the heat, correct? Green centers plague me in the heat of central VA, and last summer was far less oppressive.
Juliarugula I look forward to their reply! It’s such a pretty shape and color. I’m about done with CZ, so maybe your mystery variety will be a good choice for 2025. Odyssey was taken out by spider mites, and did not wow me at its debut.

I absolutely love Pink Pearl. Was going to get Comano Zoe but the lady was sold out and after these bloomed I was glad I went this route instead . The pic does make em seem more lavender than they actually r

As for the original question how does you id needed bloom compare to Irish D Porter?
JessieC I look forward to their reply! It’s such a pretty shape and color. I’m about done with CZ, so maybe your mystery variety will be a good choice for 2025.
Whelp…. The bad news is that the seller had no idea what it was, but asks if I can send her some in the spring/fall.
BackyardBouquets_17 As for the original question how does you id needed bloom compare to Irish D Porter
I haven’t grown Irish D Porter, so I can’t say for sure. I’m pretty sure this one is too big to be a Pom though.
Oversized micro seedling. They have to be less than 2 inches in diameter. I will measure again.
Juliarugula asks if I can send her some in the spring/fall.
That’s good!

Sometimes my 20th Avenue Memory flowers look a bit like your mystery flower. They grow on a medium height plant with nice thick stems.
I am really impressed with most 20th Ave flowers. My first was 20th AVE Major but it makes no seed(one occasionally but not in my garden) My picture above is a flower only 2.25 inches in diameter. Going for micro fds.

Emilyp I have 20th Ave Memory and this is very different! More petals, smaller bloom, much more peachy-blushy.
I feel like some of JessieC’s Camano Zoe’s are close, but the petals on CZ are still noticeably elongated compared to these.
However, an argument in favor of Camano Zoe is that the tuber was labelled Canoz Jaguar, and I could see how a poorly written label might get transcribed wrong.
An argument against CZ is that I don’t see any evidence that the seller had that variety at any point.

Ok new one. Does anybody know if this is Mingus Anita P? The only photo I can find online looks pretty different, although it wouldn’t be totally out of the question for it to be correct (colors looks approximately correct)
Pinelands Princess?
Teddahlia Pinelands Princess?
I thought maybe too. But then I found a second picture of Mingus Anita that’s making me think maybe the id was correct after all. What do you think? Mine is much more fimbriated, but I’m thinking now that maybe it’s a correct ID after all.
(Funny - the photos have the blooms conveniently facing exactly the same direction…)
