Nice day in the garden:
Forty Dahlia Tubers
70 degrees and it is a friendly sun.
The soil is soft and warm.
The tubers jump into their hole and I gently cover them.
Their names are written in a garbled scroll on a small tag.
In a few months, they will be taller than me.
I am tired and the lawn chair in front of the potted flowers is very comfortable.
I sip my drink and relax.
The green hummingbird finds the potted flowers and in 30 seconds harvests the nectar and flies away.
My rest break is over and on to another 40 tubers.
