She has some great suggestions. Something I do to try to get accurate color representations is change the background. Now this is only going to work if you have cut your flowers. I posted on my instagram account about this very thing last year, as I get lots of questions about my photography. If you have cut your flowers, try different backgrounds. The color of your background can affect how your camera - regardless of what kind you use - views the color in the flowers. In the photo, youāll notice that the flowers are exactly the same. They were taken seconds apart. All I did was take two steps to the side to have concrete in my photo vs all grass. The photo of the left is the most accurate representation of the flowers. The one on the right, the flowers still look pretty, but not the right color. Sometimes all grass works. Sometimes itās a neutral fence, it just depends. Iāve also tried placing one color bloom, with an opposing color to find accuracy. As you can see below. While trying to take a photo of Black Satin (clearly the dark dahlia) my phone just couldnāt register the ādarknessā. Until I put it with a light color. I literally walked all over my garden putting it up against everything until I could find something that would trick my camera into seeing what I did. Hope all this helps.
