Happy with my orders at Sungate today and Dahlia Vacation yesterday. Hoping to get some fancy AC's at PSDA sale since I am not a previous customer at Cowlitz I guess. At the tuber packing I was wishlisting AC's Row's End, Saddlerock Tiny Giant, Spa Delight and Glencoe Parfait.

Birch Bay has updated their site, but I don't think they are taking orders yet! I am assuming that is why the prices are covered up. (This is easily thwarted if you are really curious.)

I managed to get AC Big Mary (mine ended up being some other AA pinkish bloom last year), Spike, and AC R & R ( I love most anything picotee) from Cowlitz. The only other tubers I've purchased were a few from Hollyhill. I'm going easy on the wallet this year (flower-wise).

Hopefully my experiment of leaving the tubers in the ground and covering the flowerbeds with at least 4+ inches of mulch turns out successful. I feel like at this point it's my best chance to have most everything survive given my luck with storage the past few winters. It's either that or continue to be a cautionary tale.

edewitt The picotee on AC R&R got me too. I saw he also has AC HB from a different seller, which is yellow with picotee. A seedling of Hart's Bonnie perhaps.

My strategy next year. Pick the 1 I want and get over $25 with another I don't think anyone will try for (bright messy yellow flower perhaps).

Oh no! This happened to me last year and I did not forget it. The one tuber maximum combined with the minimum $ order is a special kind of situation. 😂 But at least everyone must take the time to get two into their cart.

Honnat I have a feeling when her sale starts for the public, there won't be much left. My Visa card will be happy! I tried ordering from 'Dahlias by Julie' and I was told some were no longer available, so I deleted from my cart and tried to check out and had to enter all my information again. Such is life in the world of dahlias.😜

Flowernut I got FOMO from yesterday and cruised back into the subscriber’s sale today. Cowlitz thoughtfully held back inventory and restocked varieties that had previously sold out. I hope you were able to pick up a few you wanted!

Anyone know what's up with Birch Bay? Their price list does not have prices for the new intros but Dahlia Addict does. Should I assume they took them down because they're sold out? Tough when it's a mail order thing.

Yes - I picked up a few. I spaced out and didn’t even notice Hollyhill BP until my second review of the offerings - sold out by then. I got two HH PDX Sunset, Lakeview Storm, and Lakeview Lady. I didn’t notice until after I’d checked out that Lakeview Lady was $30 - I probably would have waited a few years at that price but 🤷‍♀️. Hope it’s a good one!!

It’s a good thing shopping season is about done!

Juliarugula Ohh those Lakeview’s are going to be gorgeous! Hopefully Lakeview Lady makes you lots of tubers so you can sell them to all of us in the fall and recoup some costs. 😅 I spaced HH BP too — just went back to check her out, yeowzah!

Juliarugula I got Lakeview Lady as well. I’m excited. 🥳 Also got HH BP which was super thrilling. I’ve wanted that for years. Lakeview Premier, FC Black Cherry and a few 20th Aves. I actually rather like the even playing field of the way she opens. Though it does lead to spur of the moment purchases. 😂
