MissyWeitzel I don’t grow Dutch iris, but those don’t look very dense at all to me. I’d say you have plenty of time before you need to divide.
I’m only on my third year of collecting bearded iris and so far have only needed to divide the ones that were at my house before we moved in. I’ve divided them twice in eight years. I think dividing every 3-5 years is recommended? It doesn’t seem that onerous to me, but I won’t have them in the same quantities as I have dahlias for sure (I know some people do!). I think I have around 50.
