I grew it one year and was not sold on it as a cut flower but that was over 5 years ago and I do not remember the details. It may have been a not so good plant or that it came on too late in my garden. It looks like it grew really well for Honnat.

edewitt here's what the Beaucon White I have from Tall-grass Farms looks like. I think I ordered a Beaucon White and also got one as a free bonus. One of the tubers didn't make it.

Krista My sweet peas will have striped patterns like this sometimes, it is color breaking due to a sweet pea mosaic virus. I hope that yours is a sport and not a virus because it is quite beautiful!

That is a very novel pattern of color. Never seen it before. To call it variegated or bicolor is an understatement.

Krista Neato! Are all 3 blooms coming from the same branch or is the whole plant sporting these?

Krista wow so so awesome. Since u have so many shoots from the original tuber, flag the 2 stalks that has the sports. Perhaps u might get a tuber of it with that coloration when u divide.

SteveM Oh, I didn’t think to look! Wow, the blooms are coming from different branches! I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t cut any shoots back and have about 9 growing from the tuber. So far the stripey blooms are coming from two different stalks. All that are blooming as expected are blooming from before. I can’t wait to keep an eye on this plant!

Hollyhill Ambiance has reached critical pink.

Brooksie is finally producing some decent blooms.

Edna C bloomed a quite large bloom but all the following blooms are about 6".

Wyn's Ghostie is back and currently bug-free.

AC CJ is the orangest of the orange.

Polka is pretty unique.

NCDahlia Oh, are you saying I can follow the stalks down and maybe find a tuber connected to one of those, specifically, that has the potential to produce these sported blooms consistently? Whoaaaa. I will definitely do this.

edewitt I like how much pink you’re getting on your Brooksie, my first bloom was very very goldie-yellow and I like yours lots. And I think Wyn’s Ghostie has officially hit my want list for next year, what a pretty bloom you have! I wonder how AC CJ’s orange compares to Vesuvius’ orange?

Second year seedling and we grew it a second year believing it would not still look like this. It does still look like this. About 3.5 inches in diameter and about a 6 feet tall plant.

Teddahlia Is that a dark purple or dark red? It looks to me to be the darkest purple I've seen in a long time. Jack Almand had a ball (I think a seedling) that I grew (decades ago) for one year and lost it. I don't know why dark purple seems so much harder to breed than dark red. Really nice!

I have some small blooms coming in on Sandia Bertha that are really sweet, almost looking bi-color.

WB Saffron has one hot pink stripe!
