When you know frost is on its way before long and you are giving the dahlias a once over and you come across a wonderful seedling you had not noticed before!

These are about 5" across and very deep, lots of petals in a shade of red about half way between bright red and red black. The plant is 6 feet tall and I am so excited! It is interesting too that these were seedlings of one of my first that I grew from seed....It's seed mother was Hollyhill Paris and it had the fimbriations on a miniature red orange flower. This one came from seed that I had saved for several years...I no longer have the seed parent but what splendif offspring! The plant is about 6' tall and at the very end of the row where it gets the first shadows of evening, but good air circulation. OH how I hope this one made good tubers!!!
