Teddahlia @SteveM
I have never publicly seen a white dahlia on dark stems let alone a white dahlia with a dark center. It's actually something would love to see. I don't know if it's genetically possible, but there is a light pinkish lavender Mystic dahlia that will develop white outer edges I assume in the fall. It might be called Dreamer?
I have it on my to find list.
Next year I'll be planting 5 seed producing, garden seedlings together. They all have dark leaves, lacy foliage, a strong upright growth habit, and do not require staking. 3 of them have dark centers. I have a lavender, red, yellow, bright orange and magenta colored blooms. Maybe I'll reach out to Wayne Lobough for a white recommendation that suits my plant type.
I have no idea what I'll end up doing with these except I can't let this project go. My brain won't let me. ๐ These don't take up much space, so it's no burden.
