Justafewdahlias The flower in the photo is an anemone flower just to sort of show the scale how much the zoom changes things. The anemone has super tiny orange-ish flecks that is the insect I am magnifying to try to find out what it is. I am seeing it not only on plants but on the edges of pots, on chairs, on random non garden related items all over my yard. The other photo with multiple bugs is with a macro lens. And finally a microscope. I took a photo of the microscope digital screen so it is much more blurry vs in real life view. The microscope you can take photos and download off SD card but I was too lazy to do that. After driving myself crazy trying to guess what bug is what I finally have a way to see them clear enough to get a more accurate diagnosis. Soooo is this a thrip nymph? Or something benign? I am just confused because I’m seeing this everywhere not just plants/soil. And I have never seen this bug before (or maybe I just wasn’t paying attention/didn’t have much planted or blooming at this time last year).
Justafewdahlias Bessie thanks! Sometimes the image search gets conflicting results but the size, shape and number of legs and all of that adds up 😬😢 I guess the color threw me off but there are many many varieties of thrips so many different colors in larva/adult
