Years ago there was a semi-double, dark red (almost black) WL type with long white collarettes on every floret. I used it as a cut flower for many years but never knew its name. It wasn't a strong grower and I finally lost it. I'm surprised, with the increased number of people growing collarette type dahlias, that there aren't more double types with collars available.
