Too rainy to dig dahlias so we went for a walk in our woods on the west side of our property with our dogs. The previous owner used a bulldozer 40 years ago to make a primitive path that goes to the bottom of the hill. I drove my Honda Civic station wagon down there when we first moved in. We can walk about 1,000 feet from our house and most of the walk is on our property. Adjacent to our property is an abandoned electric railroad line last used in about 1923. Tracks are gone but the forest does not grow on the site of the tracks. It is lined with old trees and brush. And since blown dry posted a picture of mushrooms, here are some growing next to the old railroad on a log.
