blown_dry I will be setting 8 suppliers to inactive soon as they did not hold an online mailorder dahlia sale last year so there's a little room on the roster. Is there a supplier you really would like to see on there? Caveat: any suppliers I add on my own are only visible to DA subscribers.
bloomhjelm I don't know if these suppliers have ever declined being in the directory or have been in it in the past, but I have purchased from them: https://www.peaceofheavenflowerfarm.com/ ($6 tubers with great quality) https://fuirkhome.com/collections/dahlias https://thicketpnw.com/store
blown_dry Thanks for the suggestions. I expect many folks want to keep their favorites as secret as possible. One of the possible features that is on my list is allowing subscribers to add "personal" suppliers. Only people that know about it by name would see the info.
BackyardBouquets_17 You got it! Because then your $6 supplier suddenly becomes a $20 supplier. They no longer can keep up with demand ( if they even could before) and there’s typically someone out there who doesn’t care what they have to pay to get it ( rare occasion that even happens to me ) but I’m more apt to pass and figure eventually the hype for that one will die down unless it’s a variety I want for breeding.
Honnat https://cantwaitflowers.com/ She worked for me (Honken Dahlias) a couple years and now has her own small operation. Would be a nice add. She's taking a lot of steps to keep good stock and store tubers well.
magucci May I ask what you look for in a new supplier. If all goes well and my website is done, I will be starting to sell in the early Spring. I haven't really dug into the details of what makes for a Dahlia Addict-qualified seller yet.
blown_dry magucci The requirements are pretty minimal. It's more in the nature of purchasing adverstising. Subscribers have veto power. If ratings drop too low, the supplier may be delisted.
