The most accurate(but not perfect) way to diagnose viruses is with the antibody test that costs lots of money. I find it interesting that people read the leaves like a flaky fortune teller reads tea leaves. Yes, virus shows symptoms on leaves . As they say, there is a difference in nutritional deficiency leaves and virus leaves. The virus spots and discoloration is not evenly spread across the leaf as the virus does not evenly infect the plant and portions are clear and portions show symptoms in a random pattern. Nutritional deficiencies tend to be everywhere. If in doubt about the leaves, if the plant is less vigorous, that would put it into the virus diagnosis.
