@blown_dry could you please blow my mind again? A few years ago on Cubits you had shared some staggering stats about the turnover of cultivars in your database. You track and add a lot of dahlias, but it was the number of inactive listings especially that knocked my socks off. Could you please wow us with additional trivia? Thanks!

Probably the bit about adding about 500 new varieties per year and near complete turn over every 7 or 8 years. The varieties that stay that long may have real longevity. There are 3,555 varieties current on the site, but just 8% of those (272 varieties) make up half of the listings. Most all varieties are one storage event or supplier decision from market extinction.

Where have I been? I just realized if I select the magnify glass on Dahlia Addict, a list of dahlias with the same classification comes up. This is pretty nifty, and I can't wait until I have a couple of hours to nosey around.

I forgot this thread existed! I have a question for blown_dry.

Several times I’ve stumbled upon the section of DahliaAddict where you keep a running list of dahlias that have been newly added to the database. Of course, when I feel like checking it out, I’m not able to find it again. Can you tell me where on the website that’s located? It’s fun to look over every once in a while!
