Teddahlia Thank you, yes, I believe my memory held on to your comment about anemones, thanks for the correction! I realize now that I’m familiar with large blooms on stout plants, but finding out that these traits are indeed independent is greatly helpful. I’ll add HH Snowdrop to my list to keep my eyes peeled for, I’d like to see 2” blooms on a 7’ plant with my very own eyes! I couldn’t bring to mind any example of small blooms on tall plants so this is exciting.

I like the larger WL blooms, but I wonder how large would be too large? Do you remember any varietal names that fell out of fashion due to size? Perhaps I’ll have to explore this on my own through breeding.
