errrg, I had written a response after the first few responses two days ago, but it didn't go through... probably neglected the 'post reply' button.
The name is in my clear handwriting on a tag, so I'm thinking that it was a bonus stuck in a baggie from last year's orders. I don't recall guessing at any of the names, and I put as much info as possible on varieties I didn't ask for, so I know what I'm looking at later. Edwitt, Barbarry Maverick is a brilliant guess if it were written illegibly on the tuber!
And, yes, I have been stumped in the past by a 'Hood' variety, Juliarula... someone in the Cubits set me right about that one, to my utter embarrassment! Pooh still makes me blush.
