Ted’s process is the same way I do it.
Some of the steps can be confusing if you’ve never done it before. The “drying” step is one.
Air drying is more accurate. I would never place them near a heat source. The goal is to dry
the outer layer. I find they’re adequately dry if you can write the name on them with a Sharpie.
If they’re too damp, the marker will smear.
I usually lay mine out on tote lids in a single layer overnight, and then flip the larger ones over
the following day so the other side can air dry.
The ones in this picture have been dried and I’ve written their names on them. Next step is
wrapping or storing in vermiculite.
