bloomhjelm I had GW Calhoun Moon on my wishlist this year after finding it at Lakeshore Dahlias. But I can't find much about it except the registration information. Does anyone know much about hybridizer Wolfe or GW dahlias?
MissyWeitzel bloomhjelm not much info, but in the ADS classification and handbook of dahlias G. Wolfe is listed and is from the western region of the U.S..
Teddahlia Google provided this clue.: Gerald & Camille Wolfe 2397 Boone Ford Rd SE Calhoun, GA 30701. Tel: (706) 602-7706. Fax: (603) 699-8264. Email: KINGD...@att.net - Price list on request or I remember GW's Babe being a popular flower.
SteveM For some reason I feel I should know that name. I think the GW stands for Gerald Wolfe but I could be wrong.
bloomhjelm Thanks for the research! Kitsap Dahlia Society had some photos of GW's Babe as well. I would normally not have picked up GW's Calhoun Moon on a whim but it has such a nice autumnal coloring on Lakeshore's pics. Perfect kind of yellow-to-salmon.
